Our tours on lake Stora Le

Self-guided doesn't mean left alone. Every tour starts with a personal briefing at the jetty, a route recommendation matched to your experience, and maps in a waterproof barrel. After that the lake is yours — at your own pace.

The Classic — 7–8 days self-guided

Our most-booked tour, refined over twenty years: a good week on Stora Le with nights on islands and rock slabs, swimming bays for lunch breaks, and a new view over the water every evening.

We recommend the route individually — by wind, water level and your wishes: more solitude, more fishing, shorter legs. The King's Tour package carries everything: canoe, barrels, tent, stove, cook set, maps.

Short island-camp tour — 2–3 days

The perfect introduction: one or two nights on the maintained DANO campsites of the nearer islands. Short legs, plenty of time to swim and settle in — and you'll quickly know whether canoe fever has caught you. Most guests come back for the Classic.

Border tour — to Norway and back

Stora Le doesn't care about national borders: its northern reaches lie in Norway. With four to five days and some experience, you paddle the narrowing passages north, camp on the Norwegian side, and come home with a story not everyone can tell.

For this tour we go through the map together beforehand — shelter options included.

Family tour — 3–4 easy days

Short morning legs, long afternoons at camp: that's how canoeing with children works. The Family Camp package brings the 4-person tent and complete cooking gear; vests come in every child size.

We recommend campsites with shallow swimming spots and short distances — ask for our favourites at the briefing.

Which tour fits you?

Write to us or simply come to the reception — two questions in, we usually know which tour it will be. And if you'd rather assemble everything yourself: at our sister brand Canodal, on the same shore, you rent individual boats and gear at base prices.
