Since 2003 we've accompanied our guests on individual canoe tours through Dalsland & Värmland. Fascinating nature, hundreds of kilometres of waterways and a personal, family atmosphere make a holiday with us something special.

With us you stay right in the Swedish nature — the way it should be. Whether camping on our split tent meadow, glamping in a furnished tent, a night in a rustic kota, pitches with electricity or nearby holiday homes: you'll find your personal retreat — uncomplicated, close to nature and with a warm welcome.
Activities
Around our canoe camp in Ed you'll find a rich selection of activities — independent of your tour. Hiking, fishing, elk safari, yoga or relaxing time in camp: in Dalsland's nature region you experience calm, wide spaces and true Swedish outdoor feeling.
Arrival in Ed
Ed is easily reached by train from Gothenburg and Oslo. Ed station is directly connected and makes it easy to arrive relaxed.

Our camp sits directly on the shore of Stora Le in Ed — two tent meadows by the lake, plus pitches with electricity. Clean toilets, warm showers, a small reception with camp shop. Easy to reach by train from Gothenburg and Oslo.

Right on the shore of Stora Le, 668 30 Ed, Sweden — in the middle of Dalsland.
Getting here
Comfortably by train from Gothenburg or Oslo; Ed has its own station.

April–September, daily 10–13 and 14–18: maps, fishing permits, gas and more.

What makes KanuKing different from a basic rental?
We are more than just canoeing: serviced LINDER canoes, a personal briefing, route recommendations for Dalsland & Värmland, maps, and complete packages with tent and barrels. You set out well prepared, at your own pace.
Can I pay online?
Yes — booking and payment work fully online. On site, card and cash are fine too.
Do I need experience?
No. The briefing at the jetty is plenty for the calm lakes, and we recommend routes to match your skills.
Are multi-day tours possible?
Absolutely — that's what our packages are made for: tent, stove and waterproof barrels included. Many guests are out for a whole week.
Can I stay at the camp?
Yes, before and after your tour: two tent meadows right on the lake and pitches with electricity. Warm showers and clean facilities included.
What about fishing?
Fishing gear is available to rent and fishing permits are sold in the camp shop — Stora Le is superb fishing water.
